Criminals, Terrorists, Extremists (Change you can believe in)

June 2008 Tony Rezko was found guilty on 16 of 24 counts of fraud and political corruption by a Chicago Jury.  Obama's Response:
"This isn't the Tony Rezko I knew."
Rezko was charged with fraud, attempted extortion and aiding bribery.  He would extort millions of dollars from firms attempting to do business with the teachers' pension board.  Rezko used his influence to get friends into government boards, the friends would then demand millions in kickback from contractors in exchange for building projects.  Rezko also helped Obama purchase property in Chicago and even gave him land so that he could have a larger yard.  Yet Obama did not know Rezko too well!
 
Jeremiah Wright came to light during the Democratic primaries.  His sermons became public scruitiny and displayed a racist and Anti-American message.  Obama's Response:
"This isn't the Jeremiah Wright I knew."
Obama has claimed in the past that Wright was like an Uncle to him.  Wright Married him and baptized his daughters.  Twenty years Obama set in Wrights' church yet despite all of this he did not truly know him?
 
On the unrepentent terrorist William Ayers?:
"This isn't the William Ayres I knew."
Obama made the case that he was only eight years old when Ayers committed acts of terrorism against the United States.  As recently as 2001 Ayers had made the statements that "I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough."
 
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan stated in 2008 "Barrack Obama is the Messiah".
"This isn't the Louis Farrakhan I knew."
"A black man with a white mother became a savior to us," Farrakhan once told a crowd of mostly Islamic followers in 2008. "A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall."  During a Democratic debate with Tim Russert, Obama was asked twice if he rejected support from Louis Farrakhan.  At no time did Obama say yes, I reject his support.  Instead he sidestepped the question by denouncing several of Farrakhans' statements and anti sematic views.
 
This to date has been a common theme with Barrack Obama.  A questionable association with less than desirable qualities is brought forward, Obama claims that this isn't the (fill in the blank) I knew and everyone moves along.  How many more times will this occur.  The Americans that voted for Obama were willing to overlook all of these questionable associations as well as the many others that he has.  Would these same Americans be willing to make the same exception for one of their children if they wanted to date someone with the same beliefs and practices as these radicals and crooks?  I would not.

Your Second Amendment/Your Constitution

ARTICLE TWO:  A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

This is our constitutional right to keep and bear arms.  This allows us to provide protection for ourselves and our famlies.  In addition this gives the American Citizen the capability to "keep the government in check".  Our founding fathers, the craftsmen on the constitution recognized the threat of a government running unchecked.  Arming the citizens of our nation provides the ability for our citizens to rise up and keep the government in check.  President elect Obama is anti-gun.  There is no way to sugar coat it or "spin" it as so many of the socialist left will attempt to do.  During Obama's campaign he presented himself as pro second amendment.  Unfortunately the media failed to do their job properly this election cycle and did not question Obama's position on the Second Amendment.

Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign slogan, "the audacity of hope," should have instead been "the audacity of deceit." After months of telling the American people that he supports the Second Amendment, and only hours after being declared the president-elect, the Obama transition team website announced an agenda taken straight from the anti-gun lobby--four initiatives designed to ban guns and drive law-abiding firearm manufacturers and dealers out of business: 

"Making the expired federal assault weapons ban permanent." Perhaps no other firearm issue has been more dishonestly portrayed by gun prohibitionists. Notwithstanding their predictions that the ban's expiration in 2004 would bring about the end of civilization, for the last four years the nation's murder rate has been lower than anytime since the mid-1960s. Studies for Congress, the Congressional Research Service, the National Institute of Justice, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have found no evidence that gun prohibition or gun control reduces crime. Guns that were affected by the ban are used in only a tiny fraction of violent crime-about 35 times as many people are murdered without any sort of firearm (knives, bare hands, etc.), as with "assault weapons." Obama says that "assault weapons" are machine guns that "belong on foreign battlefields," but that is a lie; the guns are only semi-automatic, and they are not used by a military force anywhere on the planet. 

"Repeal the Tiahrt Amendment." The amendment--endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police--prohibits the release of federal firearm tracing information to anyone other than a law enforcement agency conducting a bona fide criminal investigation. Anti-gun activists oppose the restriction, because it prevents them from obtaining tracing information and using it in frivolous lawsuits against law-abiding firearm manufacturers. Their lawsuits seek to obtain huge financial judgments against firearm manufacturers when a criminal uses a gun to inflict harm, even though the manufacturers have complied with all applicable laws. 

"Closing the gun show loophole." There is no "loophole." Under federal law, a firearm dealer must conduct a background check on anyone to whom he sells a gun, regardless of where the sale takes place. A person who is not a dealer may sell a gun from his personal collection without conducting a check. Gun prohibitionists claim that many criminals obtain guns from gun shows, though the most recent federal survey of convicted felons put the figure at only 0.7 percent. They also claim that non-dealers should be required to conduct checks when selling guns at shows, but the legislation they support goes far beyond imposing that lone requirement. In fact, anti-gun members of Congress voted against that limited measure, holding out for a broader bill intended to drive shows out of business. 

"Making guns in this country childproof." "Childproof" is a codeword for a variety of schemes designed to prevent the sale of firearms by imposing impossible or highly expensive design requirements, such as biometric shooter-identification systems. While no one opposes keeping children safe, the fact is that accidental firearm-related deaths among children have decreased 86 percent since 1975, even as the numbers of children and guns have risen dramatically. Today, the chances of a child being killed in a firearm accident are less than one in a million.

Any American citizen that loves our country and believes in the constitution should be concerned.  I hear people saying that nothing will ever happen, they would never rewrite the constitution.  Or my favorite, what will be will be.  We need to look to history for our future lessons.  Hitler rose to power, created the Gestapo and enacted gun control policies on his countries citizenry.  Look it up, do a little research.  Will this happen in America?  I do not know, but why would we even allow the possibility. 

If you have not recently, sit down and read the Constitution.  You can visit www.heritage.org and request a free pocket copy of the Constitution.  If you have sons and daughters ask them to read the Constitution, discuss it with them and explain to them the importance of it.  This is something I have done with my Son and intend to do with my younger daughter.  To many Americans take it for granted and do not fully understand the importance of our Constitution.

Insurgents, terroists, Obama..oh my

BAGHDAD – Two Iraqi insurgent groups called on President-elect Barack Obama to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq and abandon the war on terror, an Internet monitoring service reported Friday.  Found here.

Barack Obama's election raises questions about whether America's enemies in the Middle East will see an opportunity to attack and test his mettle -- or to negotiate with a leader who has said he's willing to talk with them.  Found here.

So, we have two Iraqi insurgent groups calling on Obama to "abandon" the war on terror.  Then we have the terrorist group of Hamas and the Iranian President congratulating him.  What will be interesting, for lack of a better word, is what and how Obama responds.  Will he immediately remove our troops from Iraq thus giving credibility to the Insurgent groups "abandoning" the war on terror as they put it.  Many Americans see the Iraq war as a pointless war, I beg to differ.
 
I would ask anyone that does not believe in the War in Iraq, should we just abandon this infant Democracy.  Radical Islamic Jihadists have proclaimed that America is evil and they are bent on destroying us.  We need all the allies we can get to fight the ongoing war on terror and what greater ally than a nation in the heart of where these Jihadists train and live.  People complain about the money we spend rebuilding the Iraq nation.  If we were to abandon Iraq without rebuilding it would turn into another Afghanistan.  We helped the Afghans defeat Russia then we left them to their own devices.  The Taliban grew and we have had to seek them and other Terrorist organizations out in Afghanistan.  We do not need to repeat this with Iraq.  We have freed the Iraqi's from an oppressive and cruel dictatorship and given them the god given right of Freedom.  It would be a shame to abandon them now.
 
Hamas and the Iranian President Ahmadinejad have congratulated Obama.  How will this play out.  When Iran achieves nuclear capabilities and decides to make good on their promise to "Remove Israel from the map" how will Obama respond.  Based on the report that they have congratulated Obama I am led to believe that they feel Obama will not respond at all to help our oldest and staunchest ally in the middle east.  What credibility will that give America then when we will not stand by our allies?

Change.gov, already changed.

Apparently Obama has caught some flak from his America Serves section of www.change.gov.  Here is the original page.

Notice how it said require in it.  Well now it does not say that.

I know, I know, give the guy a break right.  I mean he is the President Elect and he is bound to make a mistake or two.  Columbia and Harvard university graduate, surely you would learn to proof read before turning it in.  This same thing happened on his website during his campaign.  One day they were proudly proclaiming their involvement with ACORN.  Voter Registration fraud hits the news and *bam* no more mention on the site about ACORN.  Same with Rev. Wright.

What do you think, honest mistake or a slip of his true intentions?  Just like all of his policies, he is constantly changing with the wind.  I hope you get your Change.  Let me point out Amendment 13 of the constitution:

Amendment 13 - Slavery Abolished. Ratified 12/6/1865. 

1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Office of the President elect?!?!

Excuse me, what exactly is that. The Office of the President Elect found at www.change.gov, it appears Obama has purchased the domain name and created a new government office.  Wow, not even in office and he is expanding the government. 

You should take a look around at the site, it filled me with so much hope for change....it seems his presidency can not end fast enough for me.  Check out the America Serves section.  He wants to expand the Peace Corps, Ameri Corps, and create a Classroom Corps to (help teachers).  Folks, if this does not raise the hair on the back of your neck then you are truly blind.  Here is the pitch/edict on the America Serves section:

"When you choose to serve -- whether it's your nation, your community or simply your neighborhood -- you are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans. That's why it's called the American dream."
The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Sounds so dreamy, almost like he wants to tell you that by serving you will realize the America Dream.  Does this mean that we can eliminate the United Way, perhaps the PTA's?  Exactly why would anyone want these government programs instituted?  Tell me, what do you think will happen if you elect not to serve?  Will you be allowed not to serve?  Who knows, maybe if you do not serve while in school they will not allow you to graduate?  I do not know but what I do know is that the government does not need to expand and create programs like this.  If they want to offer tax breaks/credit etc great, but the government actually running these types of programs...does this not stink of Big Brother to you?  Will the Classroom Corps direct you on the proper "history" to teach?

Look over his site, look at all the pie in the sky ideas that they have on it and ask yourself several questions:
1.  Where is the money coming from?
2.  Is it a good idea to have the government expanding in this way?
3.  How does this affect my individual rights?

My friends, Socialism is rearing its ugly head.  Our nation was founded as a republic, a nation of laws.  We are about to be pointed toward a dictatorship if we are not vigilent.  Sounds crazy, impossible?  Maybe, and I hope to god that I am mistaken.  I hope to god that Obama turns out to be good man who does great things for our nation.  Based on his past associations and the clearly big government controlled programs (Socialism) that he is proposing I honestly believe that he has no desire to maintain our Republic.  What do you think?
