Well guess who is starting to put their hands out now for a bailout?
Democratic Governors of five states are asking for One Trillion dollars to help out troubled states in the USA. Gov Corzine of NJ said in light of the $700 Billion Financial Bailout this one is not shockingly large. Ummm, yes it is Governor, or should we start calling the members of our government Lords and Ladies?!
I for one have been against these bailouts, or should I say "Federal Aid" packages from the get go. Our children and future generations are indebted up to their eyeballs as it is. Everyone keeps coming along wanting more and more of our money and our elected officials keep handing it out.
Let me pose a simple question to you. If your income at home is not covering all your bills and expenses what should you do? Borrow more money to pay those bills incurring yet another bill? No, you have to cut back what you are spending. Throwing mine and your money at these failing businesses and states has not improved the economy. Remember when they said if we did not pass the financial bailout that the economy would take a serious hit? Well the economy already has and continues to. Businesses are downsizing, companies are moving their operations overseas and Democrats are asking for more taxpayer money to bailout State Governments. Do we not already pay State Taxes? Follow my thinking here, bear with me, we are already paying State Taxes. Now we will be providing our Federal Tax money to these States? Hmm, I hearby declare the State of Jarhead right here right now! So, where's my "Federal Assistance?" Do not forget about those State Taxes I will be collecting also.
This bailout concept should have never been proposed. To me it is nothing more than a redistribution of wealth and a nod towards a Socialist style economy/government. The Democrats in congress are already talking about another stimulus package this year for citizens. I have a really novel idea, instead of throwing our tax payer dollars at all these failing industries why not give the tax payers the money? It is our money after all, imagine the stimulus that would have on the economy if everyone were able to pay off their debt and start over. Think about that and while your are at it call/email your Congressional Representatives and tell them to stop the bailout madness.
